For 10 years he acted as a representative of the Pedagogy Section of the School of Spiritual Science at the Goetheanum in Austria and led in-depth conferences in this function.
Before that, he founded the first group of members in Vienna who were responsible for leading various anthroposophical enterprises. A research project, which at the same time led to deep transformation.
For 40 years, he explored the path of self-development per Rudolf Steiner “to learn how to recognize the essence behind the respective illusion”.
For 15 years Georg Meier taught the biology of human organ system with a special focus on embryology. A special area of study and research was how a person’s mental and emotional life influences the organs’ health or disease.
For 5 years, Georg Meier worked part-time in an international anthroposophical research group of doctors, psychotherapists and scientists from various disciplines, in which case studies were used to holistically research how disease develops in a healthy body.
His deep interest in healing led him to the four-year Professional Study in Science of Healing at the Barbara Brennan International School in 2004. As such, he received a practical education from the physicist and healer Dr. Barbara Brennan and a select group of healers with experience in psychotherapy from Europe, Canada, Hawaii and the USA. His graduation was followed by intense years of practice and research first as a Brennan Healing Science Practitioner® and later developing his own methods. Since then, Georg Meier lives and breathes the following:
Create space for the blossoming
of a truly human existence honestly present, healing
The passionate anthroposophical methodologist, with decades of pedagogical experience, continuously designed and evolved his healing method up to the integral mind-body system taught in his training courses. This mind-body system is applied as a holistic process-oriented session with salutogenic recovery coaching and treatment, whereby the necessary self-healing powers can be released in just a few sessions. Based on the fact that the body – also on a molecular level – consists exclusively of energy, this method starts with psychosomatic awareness in the respective afflicted areas in order to lead disrupted processes back to health. At the core of this method is the human-to-human connection that allows for the transfer and release of healing energy representing the healthy essence of each afflicted area
In his practice, Georg Meier worked with dedication and commitment on thousands of clients coming to him to end their suffering. Eventually those who had been healed by him and their relatives asked to be trained in his healing methods. Two years later he set up the first course. He then complied with the increasing wishes for him to describe in a book “what he is doing to make people healthy” and what the sources of his energies are. This is how “Dare to fall apart and experience true healing” (working title) came about, in which he presents the essential healing factors in detail using real case studies and provides the readers with valuable exercises. Before the book manuscript of the German original “Geh durch deine Wunde und alles ist heilbar” was even halfway completed, a representative of the publishing house Goldmann (part of the Random House Publishing Group) discovered him during a speaking engagement and offered to publish the book. It was soon recognized as a “#1 Best Seller in the Top 100” by the largest online retailer in several categories including “Energy and Healing”.
Georg Meier originally studied geosciences and biology in Munich, until his training as an alternative, naturopathic practitioner started his search for “holistic curative treatment methods” to help people. Towards the end of this training, he discovered the Freie Hochschule Stuttgart (School of Spiritual Science), where he completed his anthroposophical education studies, graduating in 1983. Dort absolvierte er das anthroposophische Pädagogik-Studium bis zum Abschluss 1983.
Throughout 27 years of teaching all age groups at large Rudolf Steiner schools, Georg Meier developed his understanding of the human nature, which was also deepened in his functions as a conference leader, parent and teacher trainer and last but not least as the father of five children. Parents and students appreciated his open nature that supported their free development. The enthusiasm of the young people resulted in special, unforgettable projects at home and abroad.
During his teaching activities, he was invited to join an international research and development group centered around the critical, necessary forces in biographical junctions and crises, whose members included several people with near-death experiences. After two years, Georg Meier was invited to take on the leadership role of the group.
During these decades he led working groups, organized conferences and was in demand as a lecturer on anthroposophical topics, mainly in Austria and Hungary.
Facing intense personal challenges and life trials over the course of many years, Georg Meier developed a special ability to deal with difficult situations in a fruitful, productive manner – an ability that extended to leading groups through crises, in a way that created more potential and energies that were present before.
As a crisis mediator, he developed special therapeutic skills (mental coaching for fear and negative thinking, trauma, emotions and defense mechanisms ). This was embodied, among other things, in his school management activities.
In the past, Georg Meier was invited to various educational institutions (Montessori, Steiner and vocational schools) as a consultant, mediator and supervisor. His work focused on the respectful and constructive interaction between the colleges to create space for the optimal development of potential.
